Floorplan3D

Convert a 2D floor plan to 3D — online, in about a minute

Upload the flat drawing you already have. The AI turns it into a 3D cutaway render with walls, floors and furniture, so people can understand the layout at a glance.

Why convert a 2D plan into 3D?

A 2D floor plan is precise but abstract: thick lines for walls, arcs for doors, and rooms that only make sense if you read drawings for a living. A 3D floor plan shows the same layout as a cut-open dollhouse, so buyers, guests or clients can see where the sofa goes, how the kitchen connects to the dining area and how much light each room gets.

Traditionally that meant redrawing the plan in SketchUp, Revit or a floor-plan app and rendering it — hours of work, or a paid redraw service. This tool skips the redraw: the AI reads the drawing and paints the 3D version directly.

How the conversion works

  1. Upload your plan (JPG, PNG, WebP, or the first page of a PDF). Phone photos work if the plan is flat and evenly lit.
  2. Pick a view: isometric 3D (a 45° bird's-eye cutaway) or top-down 3D (looks like the plan, but with depth, materials and shadows).
  3. Pick a style — Modern, Scandinavian, Warm Neutral, or an unfurnished white model.
  4. Generate. You get two variations to choose from and a before/after slider to check them against your drawing.

What makes a plan convert well

  • Clean, high-contrast drawings: black walls on white work best.
  • One floor per image. Crop multi-floor sheets so each level is its own upload.
  • Remove dense dimension strings or title blocks if you can — the prompt already tells the model not to draw text, but clutter can still confuse it.
  • Straight-on scans or exports. A skewed phone photo can produce skewed walls.

Is the 3D version accurate?

AI image models can still misread a plan — for example merging a small closet into a hallway or drawing a door slightly off. Always compare the render with the original drawing before you publish it; the before/after slider exists for exactly that check. If a render fails outright, the credits are refunded automatically.

FAQ

Do I need to redraw my plan?

No. The AI works from the image of your existing plan. There is no tracing or drawing step.

Which file types are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP images, plus PDFs (only the first page is used, converted in your browser).

Can I get a 3D model file (GLB/OBJ)?

Not yet. The output is a 2D image of a 3D render. An accurate-geometry 3D model mode is on the roadmap.
