What a 3D plan answers for guests

  • Which bedrooms share a bathroom and which are en-suite.
  • Whether the sofa bed is in a separate room or the living area.
  • How the kitchen, dining and outdoor space connect.
  • How far the bedrooms are from the main living space (handy for families and groups).

Don't have a floor plan?

Sketch one: pace out the rooms, draw them on graph paper, take a straight-down photo, and upload it. See our guide to hand-drawn plans for drawing tips. For a more accurate base, several phone apps can produce a floor plan from a room scan.

Keep it honest

Rendered furniture won't exactly match yours. Choose the style closest to your interior and say in the caption that the image is an illustration of the layout. Guests are much less forgiving about missing rooms than about a different sofa — so double-check the room count and bathroom positions against your real plan before uploading.

FAQ

Can I show the exact beds I have?

Not exactly. Styles furnish rooms automatically; for exact furniture you'd need a manual 3D model.

Does Airbnb allow floor plan images?

Hosts commonly add floor plans to their photo gallery. Check Airbnb's current photo guidelines for your listing.

Which style works best for rentals?

Scandinavian and Warm Neutral tend to look closest to typical rental interiors.
